Camilla @ 9 Months ~ Lifestyle Photography {Stillwater, MN Baby Photographer}

I had the honor of photographing beautiful Camilla when she was a tiny newborn.  I was excited when her mom asked me to photograph her once more at 9 months and even more so when she said she wanted a lifestyle shoot.  Lifestyle photography is something I hope to start doing a lot more of.  It’s when I photograph in the home or outdoors instead of a studio set up.   This session was done in Camilla’s home, and as a result has many personal touches.  -something mom, dad and Camilla will all cherish even more as the years pass.  Camilla is a gorgeous baby; I’m looking forward to her 1 year session, enjoy!

The Boys {Stillwater & Richfield Children and Family Photographer}

Recognize these totally handsome kiddos?  This was my 5th or 6th?? session with this awesome family!  I love watching these boys grow through my lens!  Big Bro is now two and has little time for “posed” images, so we caught him on the go!  Little B is 6 months and is as smiley and sweet as can be!  We enjoyed a bright, warm morning at Autumn Hills Park…

Misty & Ben’s E Session {Stillwater Engagement & Wedding Photographer}

Misty and Ben are the real deal.  They are a genuine and gorgeous couple who melt together effortlessly.  Coming into the e-session, I knew Ben might have chosen to do a few other things with his evening then spend it getting his pictures taken, but he was there for Misty.  Photography is not always on the top of favorite pastimes for the guys, and I get that.  I have three older brothers and a husband too.  In a somewhat ironic way, I love that!  It gives me a bit of a challenge to make the experience that much better for the couple.  There is nothing better than watching my clients walk away hand-in-hand and knowing they had a good time.

Misty and Ben chose to do there session at the Stillwater Boomsite along the St. Croix River.  Yes, it does look like I am building up and obsession for this location if you have been following my work lately, and as much as I would like to deny that, it’s true.  I love this destination, and I think you can see why in the images below.  BUT I am always open to heading to a new places and have my eye on several to hit up in the coming months.

I enjoyed getting to know more of their love story at our session.  Ben proposed to Misty over a game of cribbage.  I liked Ben even more when I asked the two of them if cribbage took skill to play.  They told me, “yes”.  Then I followed up with, “who usually wins?”  Ben honestly answered it was Misty without hesitation.  I find that impressive knowing he is an intelligent guy, a chemist.  I asked what he was currently working on, and all I recall was 3M.  The rest went in one ear and out the other like he was speaking Chinese to me.  Misty had my heart from the moment I learned she is a social worker.   I am so excited about their night wedding at Trellis in just a couple of months.  I already have visions of breathtaking & unique images rolling in my mind.
